Thank you for your comment! I share your disappointment. I was unable to locate any details about this case other than the murder victim was Calvin Gibson. The Library does not have the court records for Perry’s case or any Buchanan County newspapers from 1906. I also conducted an unsuccessful search on Chronicling America on the chance the case would have appeared in other Virginia newspapers. Thank you for reading our blog.
