Contains a letter from Thomas Jordan, Sr., Sheriff of Nansemond County, to Lieutenant Governor Alexander Spotswood regarding the trial of the [slave Pompey] at a Court of Oyer & Terminer for murder. Jordan asks that a new commission be issued for another court.
