Abstract

Contains proceedings of the Council of State regarding justices of Northampton County, the appointment of Ralph Pigot as sheriff, the resignation of William Waters as Naval Office of the Eastern Shore, and the commission of James Forse in his place. The proceedings also mention the account exhibited by Capt. John Martin for fitting the Sloop Ranger which was lost in his voyage to St. Augustine. In addition, there is a list of surveyors recommended by the Surveyor General. Lastly, the proceedings list sundry petitions for leave to take up land.
