Abstract

Contains a petition of Henry Willis to Lieutenant Governor William Gooch asking to be granted twelve thousand acres of land in St. George's Parish in Spotsylvania County which was patented on 25 June 1722 by Cole Digges, Peter Beverley, & William Robertson. According to the petition, the patent lapsed and David Bray of James City County petitioned for the land, but neglected to sue out a patent for the land.
