Abstract

Contains depositions of Christopher Denton & Joseph Sanderson taken before John Taliaferro, Richard Taliaferro, & Richard Buckner in Caroline County relating to a complaint against William Alcocke, inspector of tobacco at Conway's Warehouse, by Col. William Woodson. According to Woodson, Alcocke is guilty of partiality in his office for passing cut tobacco for Lawrence Battail and refusing to pass the same sort of tobacco for him.
