Abstract
Howard Manuel White was born 30 January 1898 in Stafford County, Virginia. He enlisted in the United States Army 3 August 1918, and served with the American Expeditionary Forces from 20 September 1918 to 18 June 1919. White was honorably discharged from the army 30 June 1919. After returning to Stafford County to farm, White moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he worked as a grinder at Westinghouse Electric Company. White died in Pittsburgh 28 June 1953. He was buried in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Stafford County, Virginia. He and his wife Elizabeth had no children.
