Abstract

Claudie S. Jennings was born in Halifax County, Virginia, 22 January 1923. During World War II, he enlisted in the United States Army at Roanoke, Virginia, 25 February 1943 and served in Company E, 116th Regiment, 31st Division. Jennings was killed in the D-Day landing at Normandy on 6 June 1944. He was buried in the Childrey Baptist Church cemetery in Halifax County.
