Abstract

William Albert Claude Pettit (b. ca. 1878) and his wife Gardena Pettit (b. ca. 1883) had six children: William Albert Claude (1906-1990), Clarence Pembroke (1908-1975), Sherman Wills (1910-1981), Milton Caldwell (1913-1991), Harriett F. (1919-), and Overton Baker (1921-). Pembroke, Sherman, Milton, and Overton all served in the military during World War II.
