Abstract

Contains a petition of inhabitants of Accomack County complaining about "Dollers"; commonly called "Lyon or Dog Dollers," which have no value. The inhabitants ask for a law to ascertain what value the dollers may pass for the better advancement of trade & commerce. The petition also asks for redress from vagrants who do not enter themselves into any list of tithables. The petition is signed by John Washburne, Clerk of Accomack County.
