Abstract

William Gilbert Kronk was born 21 March 1893 at Toms Brook, Shenandoah County, Virginia. He worked at the Rockdale Lime Plant when World War I began. Kronk was inducted into the United States Army 25 July 1918 and was honorably discharged 18 August 1919. He returned to work for the lime plant after the war ended before becoming self-employed. Kronk and his wife Esta Hottel Kronk (1900-1953) had a son. Kronk died 8 April 1947 in Strasburg, Virginia, and was buried in the Toms Brook Cemetery.
