Abstract

Contains complaints of the Occahanock, Nansemond, & Nottoway Indians to Governor Francis Nicholson from B[urr] Harrison. The Occahanock Indians complain that the English will not allow them to hunt or fish on their lands. The Nansemond Indians complain of the English taking up the land called Old Town between the Blackwater & Nottoway Rivers. Lastly, the Nottoway Indians complain of the English trading guns & powder with the Tuscarora Indians.
