Abstract

Contains depositions sworn before Francis Nicholson, Governor of Maryland, from Henry Wriothesley of Annapolis, John Freeman, Alexander Lumley of Anne Arundel County, & Richard Beard of Annapolis. The depositions relate to the dispute between Alexander Lumley and Col. John Cood, late sheriff of St. Mary's County, regarding religion. The depositions were transcribed by Henry Denton, Clerk of the Council.
