An article of agreement made and entered into between Jacob L. Armentrout agent for the heirs of Thomas Armentrout dec'd of the first part and John S. Lightner of the Second part. Witnesseth that said Jacob L. Armentrout agent for said heirs, is to pay to said John S. Lightner on or before the 1st day of January 1880, the sum of five Hundred dollar in full of his right in the real and personal estate of Thomas Armentrout dec'd. Said Lightner is to have the whole of the Crop of grain raised the present year on the farm upon which he now resides. And in Consideration of the same, he is to plow and sow the Grave Yard field in wheat this fall furnishing one eighth of the fertilizer and on eigth of the Seed wheat to Sow said field. Said Lightner is to have one half of the hay made this year, and two thirds of the fodder and straw of the present crop to be [illegible] upon the farm.
