Oct 27th 1874 Recd of A. D. S. Beck his check on 1st National Bank of Staunton in favor of Wm A Beck for $200, which check is made payable by W. A. Beck to me, on account of the decree of Clippinger vs Beck - By authority of a letter from Clippenger to Beck, Clippenger directs me on payment to me of $50 more, to transfer the benefit of the decree (without recourse) to A.
