4 BRANDON INSTITUTE BULLETIN
BULLETIN September, 1916 Issued Quarterly by BRANDON INSTITUTE, BASIC, VA.
This little bulletin is issued by Brandon Institute for the purpose of giving to the public and prospective patrons such announcements and school news that may be furnished during the three sessions and the vacation of each year. With these announcements and noted, a few clippings will be used such as we are sure will be interesting and inspiring to young people. This, our first issue, is principally an illustrated number. The December issue will be a school-news number and will contain the announcements for the Winter Term, etc. The March issue will also be a school-news issue, with announcements for the Spring Term, and the Commencement exercises, which come at the close of this term. The following June issue will be the regular Catalog Bulletin, and the succeeding September number the illustrated issue again with the Fall Term announcements in 1918. This outline plan will be followed each succeeding year.
Going to School When the young man or young lady has decided to enter school there is always a hopeful note sounded by every member of the family. They are expecting things to happen in the life and development of the ambitious student who is a member of the immediate family and who will bless the family, the world and herself or himself with the accomplishments attained. When all is ready and real work has begun in school, the studies all started, the coming in touch with the teachers and fellow students, confirming to the various regulations and Christian appointments and opportunities of school life, with the systematic exercises, then the real mind, body and soul growth has really begun. How important, then, for all young men and women, when the proper time comes, somehow or somewhere, to come into the special school life and training before the opportunities of young life have passed.
