Consider now another son of Lewis 2 Burcher, namely: (2) WILLIAM 3 BURCHER, second son of Lewis 3 Burcher (William 1) and his wife Susan Burcher, who was born 1838. Grafton Christian Church Register shows that he was baptized and became a member August 11, 1855. He married Ann. (Learned from the marriage records of their children) They had at lest two children and possibly more. Known ones ones were: A. Lewis 4 E. Burcher born 1860 B. Willie 4 J. Burcher born April 10, 1864 A. LEWIS 4 E. BURCHER, son of William 3 (Lewis 2, William 1) Burcher and his wife Ann Burcher, was born 1860. He married a cousin, Laura Burcher, daughter of John Edward (Ned) Burcher and Mary Ironmonger Burcher, February 20, 1886. (York Marriage Register) He died 1916. BURCHER, daughter of William 3 (Lewis 2, William 1) Burcher and his wife Ann Burcher, was born April 10, 1864. (Tombstone) She married Simon P. Wood December 26, 1886. (York Marriage record) He was a son of Robert and Mary Wood and he operated a saw mill. He was born April 15, 1852 and he died December 16, 1920. (tombstone) Among their children were: (A) G. Floyd 5 Wood who married Belle Crockett of Seaford. They had two daughters: Christine 6 Wood, who married Linwood Goens, and Bethany 6 Wood. (B) Cora 5 Lee Wood, born January 11, 1897. She married Floyd Fox, a distant cousin, November 5, 1913. She died April 23, 1981. For her descendants see p. 56.
