(3) ROBERT 3 BURCHER, third son of Lewis 2 Burcher (William 1) and his wife Mary Susan Burcher, was born 1840. On March 11, 1854 he was baptized at Grafton Christian Church. In 1870, as a mature unmarried man, he still lived with his parents. By 1880 his father was deceased and his brother Mack Sheldon Burcher was listed as head of the household. Robert Burcher and his mother Mary Susan Burcher were residents of that home. So, he lived to be a middle age person, but with no descendants. (4) SAMUEL 3 BURCHER fourth son of Lewis 2 Burcher and his wife Mary Susan Burcher, was born 1845. He appeared again in the census of 1860 as a lad aged 15 years, but was not in the 1870 census. Apparently he died as a youth. (He could have been in the Civil War and was a casualty.) (5) LUCY 3 A. BURCHER, the daughter of Lewis 2 Burcher (William 1) and his wife Mary Susan Burcher, was born 1847. She was still living with her parents in 1860 but is not in the 1870 census with her father's family. She could have been married by then. (6) LEWIS 5 BURCHER, son of Lewis 2 Burcher and his wife Susan Burcher, was born 1850 (1860 census). In 1880 he was living in his brother's home, with his mother, and was age 30 years. He was unmarried. (Family #4 in 1880) (7) MACK 5 SHELDON BURCHER, son of Lewis 5 Burcher and his wife Susan Burcher, was born August 13, 1852. He married a cousin Alice 4 Burcher, daughter of John Edward (Ned) Burcher and Mary
