George Dale a native of the County Antrim in Ireland, the Kingdom of Great Britain & Ireland, having heretofore to wit on the 29th of July in the year 1816, reported himself to the clerk of this court as being then twenty two years of age that he was born & formerly resided in the said County of Antrim in Ireland from whence he emigrated, that he is a subject of & owes allegiance to the Kingdom of Great Britain & Ireland. that intended to reside in [accordance?] within the jurisdiction of the Untied [United] States, and did afterwards to wit on the 28th of April in the year 1818, before this Court personally appear & make oath in due form that it was his bona fide intention to become a citizen of the United States & to renounce forever allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state or sovereignty of the King of the Kingdom of Great Britain & Ireland.
