305. July Court, 1754

then the Costs of the proper Goods & Chattles of sd. Adminr. William Foote Garnishee of James Watson at the Suit of Alexander Brown on Oath declared that he had in his hands of the Estate of the sd. Watson one Shilling & nine Pence which he is ordered to pay to the sd. Brown in part of Satisfaction of his debt

In the Action of Trespass upon the Case between Edward Humpston Plt. & John Payton deft. a Jury to wit, William Wright, Rice Hooe, Richard Hooe, William Foote, Richard Foote, Humphry Gaines, Robert Washington, Carty Walls, John Waller, John Fitzhugh Robert Yates & James Kenny were sworn to try the Issue joined who brought in their Verdict in these Words "We of the Jury find for the Plt. forty Shillings Sterling sterling [sic]. Richard Hooe foreman" which Verdict at the Plt's Motion is admitted to record, & its considered by the Court that the Plt. recover of the sd. deft. the sd. forty shillings sterling by the Jurors aforsd. in their Verdict aforesd. assessed & his Costs by him in this behalf expended ~

In the Action of debt between Alexander Brown Assignee of John Boyd Plt. & Adam Stephen deft. the Issue in this Suit to be tried by a Jury is waved & the deft. confessed Judgment to the Plt. for eighty four pounds Current Money, its thereupon considered by the Court that the Plt. recover the same of the sd. deft. & his Costs by him in this behalf expended. But this Judgment is to be discharged (the Costs excepted) on Payment of forty two pounds like money with Interest thereon from the twenty fifth day of January one thousand seven hundred & fifty three till the same is paid George Brent Garnishee of Philip Sulivant at the suit of Catharine Waters confessed that he had in his hands sufficient to satisfy to satisfy [sic] the sd. Catharine her debt & Costs against the sd. Philip whereupon it is considered that he pay the same
