To the Honourable Alexd Spotswood Her majtis Leftennant Governor and Comander in Cheef of Virga and to Honourable Councill Wm Duglis of King Wm: County Humbly Sheweth That whereas Yor poore petitioner by his own & his ffathers purchase is and hath bin in peceable possession neare these ffifty years of two hundred acres of Land now in ye Sd County of King Wm: which sd two hundred acres of land was first Sold by Coll: John West ye Elder decd. out of a trackt or devidend of four thousand acres of land said to be granted to him by pattent above Sixty Years hence but is now found to fall into the hands of her Majty by Reason that noe pattent can be found for the Same and for a fferther Conffermation of Yor: petitioners title in the premises he pray's yt he may have Liberty to Enter Rights for the pattening of the sd two hundred acres of land in his one name & Yor poore petitioner as in duty bound Shall Ever Pray
