    Question 1st. Are you the same Benjamin W. Bailey mentioned in the will of Jordan Anderson late of Chesterfield County Virginia of date the 27th of August 1848 as his grandson?  Answer  I am  
    Question 2d  Are the plaintiffs Alfred & Mary the same negroes mentioned in the said will of the said Jordan Anderson as having been before that time given to his grandson Benjamin W. Bailey  Answer  They are the same
    Question 3  Did you derive title & right of possession to said negroes Alfred & Mary under & by virtue of the gift mentioned &refered to in the will of the said Jordan Anderson your grandfather   Answer  I did not.
    Question 4  How long have you had such title & right of possession    Answer  #   I have never held either title or possession of said slaves under the will of my grandfather
