the Plaintiff Lemmon, and this Defendant saith that he is willing and desirous to do and perform in the premises as this Honourable Court shall direct, without that that there is any other matter or thing material or necessary, for this defendant to make answer unto, and not herein well and sufficiently answered unto, confessed or avoided traversed or denied is true; All which matters and things this defendant is ready to aver and prove as this honourable Court shall direct and award, and humbly prays to be hence dismissed with his reasonable costs and charges in this behalf most wrongfully retained etc. John Reynolds Kanawha County to wit John Reynolds whose name is subscribed to the foregoing answer personally appeared before me A. Donnally, Jr a Justice of the Peace for the County aforesaid and made oath that the matters and things set out and contained in the said answer as of his own knowledge are true and as stated of the knowledge of others he believes to be be so Given under my hand the 31st day of October 1816.
