THE Commonwealth of Virginia, To the Sheriff of County, GREETING; YOU are hereby Commanded to Summon John Reynolds admr of Joseph Holmes decd Hugh Holmes David Holmes Edward M [Greene?] and Elizabeth his wife Elisha Boyd and his wife [illegible] and Gertrude his wife [Nash?] Legrand, the husband and Rebecca Legrand, Elizabeth Legrand and heirs of Legrand decd. and Andrew H. Holmes
to appear before the Judge of our Superior Court of Chancery, holden at Staunton, on the first day of the next term, to answer a bill in Chancery exhibited against them by Lemmon a black man And this they shall in no wise omit under the penalty of 100 l. cash
And have then there this writ. Witness, WILLIAM S. ESKRIDGE, Clerk of our said Court at Staunton, the 14th day of August 1813 and in thirty 8th Year of the Commonwealth.
