The Commonwealth of Virginia to the Sheriff of Nelson County Greeting: You are hereby commanded as often as heretofore you have been commanded to Summon James Montgomery, administrator of John Campbell (Wagr) Decd William Campbell, John Campbell, Jacob Puckett and Betsey his wife formerly Betsey Campbell, John Campbell Jr and Polly his wife formerly Polly Campbell, William Campbell & Frances his wife formerly Frances Campbell, Crawford Puckett and Clary his wife formerly Clary Campbell and Peggy Campbell to appear before the Justices of our County Court of Amherst in Chancery sitting, at the Court house on the third Monday in March next, then & there to answer a certain Bill in Chancery exhibited against in our said Court by Tobias a free Negro. And this they shall in no wise omit under the penalty of One hundred pounds each. And have them there this writ. Witness Wm. S.
