Scott CH Va October 10th 1823 Dear Sir As you was awaiting to take those Negroes that the contest is with Richmond for if you will come over or Send for them between this and Tuesday Next I will send them to you by your Entering into bond to our Court of Scott County at the Next Court, as I am going away and I am afraid that Richmond is wishing to get them off while I am from home. I Should have come down to See you but being in a hurry to Return home to try and have Some of Richmonds property taken on the Attachment of McKiner & Morris and I wish you to have the Negroes in your possession till the business is ended, & so Remain Yours &c.
