getting in the way, having taxi cabs stop to let you by etc. We received an invitation to dinner at the Hotel Majestic from Dr. Harde of the Pasteur Institute on whom we called some time ago. The government is holding all American mail for 48 hours each way. We have received none as yet this week. Sept 9 15 After the regular day at the hospital we went to hotel Majestic and took dinner c Dr. Edna Steinhard Harde & sister of the Pasteur Institute. Dr. Lambert of P & S had given us the letter of introduction. We overstayed our selves leaving at 12:15 but this was due to the arrival of a Spaniard who was still sitting when we left & whom we took as a criterion of when to leave. But not so. We did gather this much from him - 90% of Spain is [Progerinan?] The Misses Harde were interesting, extremely talkative, & certain to remain old maids. We have an invitation from the Dr. for Wednesday at the Pasteur, when we shall be introduced to Metchnicoff A chance of a lifetime Sept 10 '15 In the afternoon Ev. & Andy showed up.
