Proclamation; but where he has no Interest Your Memorialist hopes, that the above Narative will Convince the House of his Ardent desire to become a Citizen of Virginia, and his invariable attachment to the Interests of that State, tho' fortune had placed him among its foes, and Circumstances may have obliged him to receive favours at their hands, He Prays for admission to the Rights of Citizenship of which accident and not Inclination has deprived him; and he Promises if his Prayer is Granted, to demean himself in such a manner as will testify his gratitude for the favour, and his love for that state whereof he shall be made a Member
