79 Louis Fr. 25 Multiple shell wound of rt. shoulder. Fractured clavicle. Wounds of soft parts of rt shoulder & rt thigh. Later streptococcic empyema developed. Patient highly neurasthenic. Suspected typhus and isolated. He was a very sick man but progressed rapidly to recovery in two months. At that time a single large drainage tube was in chest. Treatment - Dressings. Strapping up shoulder flaps c marked improvement. Two aspirations sero purulent. Rib resection.
