88 Crammon Fr 45 Shell wound of upper rt. thigh. Amputation of upper 1/3 before entering hospital. Sustained a fall subsequently c infected haematoma of stump. Complicaitons: Chr. nephritis Tumor of stump Tumor may be either a neoplasm (too rapid & hard) or a callous from stump caused by stripped off periosteum & a deposit of bone between. Treatment: Dressings, rubber tissue, creolin wet-dressing drains, irrigation c iodine solution.
