the discharge of said slave from confinement on such conditions as to your Honorable shall seem calculated to relieve upon your petitioner and at the same time to become the sold [illegible] from the injury he seems to apprehend at the hands of the said slave that if your honorable body should deem a sale of the said slave beyond the limits of the commonwealth as best calculated to answer the and is above stated your petitioners pray that your petitioner John Dillard be authorized to make the said sale and required invest the proceeds in said manner as may be most useful to your female petitioner and her children- and as in duty bound your petitioners will ever pray.
