commencement of the "act to amend the several laws concerning Slaves", should now be allowed her to bring the said Slaves back. Your memorialist further begs leave to state, that she has no power to dispose of any of the said Slaves being only one third interested in the same for her lifetime the residuary interest therein being in the only child of your memorialist as will fully appear by reference to the Last will of your memorialists deceased husband hereto annexed. Your honorable body taking this case into consideration together with the documents accompanying this memorial: Your Petitioner humbly prays, that a Law may pass authorising her to bring the said Slaves before named back into this State within a reasonable time and Your Petitioner as in duty bound will pray &c [etc.].
