In the name of God amen I J Samuel Jones Catlett of the County of King William, being in a low state of health by of perfect mind and memory, thanks be given unto God: calling into mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, to make and ordain this my last Will and testament in the following manner and form, and first I leave Davy and Dick as I purchased of Wm Tigner to be sold to pay the same debt. I leave my two large bay horses to be sold, and the money arising from the sale to be collected with all that is due now to me which will be about One thousand dollars, and to be laid out in a tract of land, which tract of land I lend my wife Mary M. Catlett with three negros Viz, Moses, James and [Anna? Ama?] together with two horses, one gig and harness, and all my stock of every description my household and kitchen furniture and plantation utensils as long as she lives my widow, but after death or marriage, I give the property so lent to my daughter Elize Ann Catlett together with James, Richard, Betty, Janey and Virginia, and with all my property in the state of Georgia real and personal to her and her and her heirs forever. And I do appoint my wife Mary M. Catlett executrix and David Valentine executor to this my last Will and testament. At a Court of monthly session held for King William County at the Courthouse on Monday the 24th of Septemr 1810. This last Will and testament of Samuel J.
