To the Legislation of Virginia The undersigned citizens of Marion County Va respectfully shew your honorable body that they are well acquainted with Rebecca Watson a free woman of color, of Marion County. That she has always conducted herself well, sustains a good character for honesty, industry & economy, and they would be pleased if she could be permitted to remain in Va, and they do not think there are any in the County of Marion who have the least objection thereto. she now resides in Fairmont and is considered useful to the citizens.
