Considerably Depreciated. - That the interest allowed thereon is only Payable on some few articles of Taxable Property, - in consequence of all which, Your Petitioner must be considerably injured, as having Purchased the Said Slave in the year 1783, at the Enormous price of Eleven thousand Pounds of Crop Tobacco, which price your Petitioner was induced to give on account of the likeliness, of the said slave, added to his abilities, in the Black smith Trade; Your Petitioner therefore begs leave to lay before you his case, and humbly prays that your Honourable Body will interfere in his behalf, by granting him a Draught on the Treasurer for the immediate pay of the said L82.. - or give him such other adequate relief, as in your combined wisdom, You may think the nature of his case merits, - and he, as in duty bound will ever Pray -
