Mecklenburg County, towit, I do hereby cerify that the Court of Oyer and Terminer of this county on Tuesday the 28th day of August 1787: tried and condemned to be hanged Daniel a Negro man slave belonging to Cluverius Coleman for Felony; and that the said Court valued the said Daniel to eighty two pounds current money.
