Mecklenburg County [Viz.?] We the subscribers do hereby certify that as members of a court of oyer & terminer, we on the 28th day of august last, sat on the trial of Daniel, a slave, the property of Cluverius Coleman, of the said County, which slave was found guilty of felony condemned & executed & that we valued the said slave at Eighty two pounds current money, expecting that the said Valuation would be paid to the said Coleman as soon as he demanded the same. & that we valued him at the price we thought him worth in ready money. given under our hand this 8th day of October 1787 - Samuel Dedman Clausel Clausel Will Hepburn Wm G.
