Know all men by these presents that I Harry Burch of the County of Hanover, for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which I have to my son John Burch (whom I bought of W L Claiborne of the county of King William on the 25 July 1808 with the intention of manumitting) have and by these presents doth emancipated and set free, the said John and I do hereby for myself my heirs execd. forever warrant to him his freedom against the claims of all persons whomsoever.
