Wisconsin Territory, Milwaukee County, } S.S. The United State of America---To Nicholas Cleary Greeting: Whereas, an application hath been lately made unto Clinton Walworth Esquire, our Judge of Probate, for said County, at a Special Term of the Probate Court, held at Milwaukee, on the Eighteenth day of June A.D. 1846, on the petition of Nicholas Cleary praying the appointment of a Guardian for Thomas Reilly Cleary a minor under the age of fourteen years in that behalf, and reposing full confidence and trust in you, the said Nicholas Cleary. We do hereby appoint you the guardian of Thomas Reilly Cleary infant child of you, the said Nicholas Cleary; until the said child shall attain his majority, according to law, and unless these presents shall be sooner legally revoked: Hereby requiring you to discharge the duty of Guardian of said child faithfully, according to law, and to the tenor of your Bond, this day filed and approved, in and by said Court. Hereof fail not. In Testimony Whereof, We have caused the Seal of our Probate Court for the County aforesaid, to be hereunto affixed. L. S.
