Know all men by these presents that I, Seth March, of the Buro[ugh] of Norfo[lk]. State of Virginia, have manumitted, emancipated and set free, and by these presents do manumit, emancipate and set free, a negro man slave named Randall and sometimes called Randall Green who was sold and delivered to me by [proper?] [illegible], of the county of Nansemond, on the 12th day of August 1844. And I hereby declare him the said Randall to be entirely liberated from slavery, and entitled to all the rights and privileges of a free person with which it is in my pervue to vest him. He the said Randall hereby emancipated, is a man of light complexion, about six feet [blank ] inches high, and will be 38 years old on the [blank] day of May in the year 1845.
