To the Honorable the General Assembly of Virginia your petitioners Providence Mounts, Daniel S. Mounts shewen unto your honorably body that in the year 1813 your Petitioner's father, Providence Mounts Seignor [Senior] departed this life Resident of Ohio County Virginia intestate seised of sundry tracts of land lying in Ohio and Brooke Counties in said State and possessed, amoung other things, of sundry negroes; and leaving Sarah Mounts his his widow and William, Rebekah, Rachel, Henrietta, Mounts and your petitioners, his children and Heirs at law: that in persuance [pursuance] of the statute in sutch [such] cases made and provided the slaves Prisilla Malici were assigned to Sarah Mounts, the widow, as her full and equal dower of the slaves of which petitioner's father possessed and that she sold and permit[t]ed the said dower salves to be removed from the Commonwealth by which your petitioners have wholy lost the revertion [reversion] of said slaves after the expiration of the life estate of the widow:
