I Jacob Carter of the town of Petersburg, in the state of Virginia - do hereby set free from my service Negro Robin aged about thirty five years - and do for myself my heirs Executors and Administrators, [illegible] unto the said negro above mentioned, all my right and claim whatsoever. as to his reason or any Estate he may acquire hereby declaring the said negro absolutely free without any interruption from me or any person claiming under me.
