For and in consideration of the sum One hundred forty Dollars to me in hand paid William Neal the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. I Stephen Townes have Bargained and sold unto the said William Neal a negro man named Sharper for a certain term of years, that is, from this time till the first day of September one Thousand eight hundred & twenty two, and I hereby for myself my heirs &c Warrant and Defence the title of he said negroe for the aforesaid term of years to the said William Neal his heirs &c against the claim and demand of all persons whatever.
