To the General Assembly of the State of Virginia. You are hereby humbly petitioned to authorize two free negroes a woman named Henny Green, & her son Henry Green now in the District of Columbia. to reside in the limits of the Commonwealth. The woman was freed by her mistress - for her good character and faithful services. She is about fifty years old. Since her emancipation she has uniformly sustained her previous character while her son has acquired one as good. We request you to grant the prayer of your petitioners - who will every pray &c.
