Prince Edward Courthouse 3rd Feb. 1848 Benj. W. Womack Esqr Dear Sir, I take the liberty to enclose the within petition to you, and ask your attention to the matter. Be good enough to present the petition and have it referred to the proper Committee. I will attend to furnish the proper testimony. This man has served his time in my neighborhood, and has always maintained an excellent character. He is a good workman, and an honest and industrious man. I have no doubt, that he can obtain the sanction of every man, in the neighborhood, in which he is Known, and in which he will reside, to his remaining in the State. Very Respectfully Your Humble Servant Saml. C. Anderson
