Selma Dec. 5th. 1815 Dear Sir, I herewith send you a petition which I will thank you to endeavour to get granted by the legislature. The petitioner is a young girl, who, if she is not permitted to remain in my family, will be thrown destitute on the world, and in all probability reduced to the utmost wretchedness and misery. I therefore hope the legislature will pass a law for her benefit. Yrs. respectfully William T. T. Mason
