Know all men by these presents That I Robert Brown of the City of Richmond and County of Henrico for good causes and considerations and [tenements?] [moving?] Have manumitted emancipated and set free, and by these presents and further my Heirs Executors and Administrators Do manumit emancipate and forever set free two Slaves to me at this time belonging that is to say Billy a boy about fourteen years of age and Sally a Girl about nine years of age, and do hereby declare [free?] said Billy and Sally and each of them to be from henceforth and forever free in as full and effectual a manner as if they and each of them had been born free[.] In testimony where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this seventh day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty four[.] Robert Brown (Seal) Signed sealed and delivered in presence of James Buchanan Andrew Ronald Jno McKeand
