my brother Moses Wheeler one hundred dollars, and also to his wife Salley one hundred dollars as a compensation for there kindness to me in my illness, but should there not be the amount of two hundred dollars in their hands, I direct that whatever sum may be in their hands under two hundred dollars, that the sum shall be eaqually [equally] divided between them the said Moses Wheeler and his wife Salley but should there be more then two hundred dollars the overplus to be divided in three eaqual [equal] parts, one of which parts to pay to my wife Martha and one eaqual [equal] third part to my brother Moses Wheeler, and the other eaqual [equal] third part to his wife Salley. I also give all my personal estate of whatever kind or quallity [quality] to my wife Martha without the formality of an appraisement. And lastly I do constitute my friends Robert Hyde and Wm Dawson both of Richmond City my executors to this my Last Will and Testament as witness my hand and seal this twenty fifth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and nine. Tobias Jackson X his mark (seal) Signed sealed &c in the presence of John Turner Richard Singleton John McBride A Codicil to the will I have this day subscribed to, which codicil is to be made a part of my said Will; and true faith and credit is to be given to the said Codicil as though it had been made and written in the body of my will Viz: I give to my son Tobias Jackson one shilling current money of the state of Virginia, I give to my son David Jackson one shilling current money of the state of Virginia. In witness where of I set my hand and affix my seal this twenty fifth day of February one thousand eight hundred and nine.
