To the Honorable, The Speaker and House of representatives of Virginia. The petition of Williamson Wynne of the city of Richmond humbly shewith that your petitioner removed from the State of North Carolina last August, to this City where he expects to remain having commenced business. Under the existing laws of the state he is not permitted to remove his slaves, whose services he greatly needs at this time. he therefore prays your Honorable body to pass a law authorizing him to bring into this state his two slaves (viz) Susanah & Pleasant and to hold them as such free from all penalties & your petitioner as in duty bound will ever pray. signed WmSon [Williamson] Wynne
