Know all men by these presents that I Solomon Marshal of Accomack County and State of Virginia for Sundry good Causes me hereunto moving and more especial[l]y believing liberty to be the just right of every person born into the World I do hereby manumate and Set free from Slavery my Negro Woman Betty and also my man Stephen to be free from me and my heirs forever and I also Set free from Slavery my Negro Boy George aged about Seventeen years and also a Negro girl hannah aged about ten years to be free at twenty one years of age I do by these presents Entirely Discharge & Set free from Slavery the above Sd Negroes from me and my heirs forever And for the better knowing of them I Sir name [surname] them Black[.] In testimony hereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this Second day of february Anno Domini 1792 Solomon Marshall (Seal) Signed Sealed and Acknowledged In presence of [blank]
