Know all men by these presents that I Thos. Bradford of the County of Accomack and State of Virginia for good cause and consideration me Moving hereunto, and by Virtue of an Act of the General Assembly of Virginia Passed in the Year of Our Lord 1782. Intitled an act to authorize the Manumission of Slaves. Do hereby Imancipate and Set absolutely free the following Negro Slave Thos. To whom I give the Name of Thos. Bloxom. To be free at his own Liberty at the age of Thirty years of age as by said act of assembly directed. And I do hereby warrent and defend the freedom of said Negro against Myself, My heirs, Executors, or Administrators, under the final Sum of one Hundred pounds, Current Money of Virginia to be recovered by the said Negro in case of any Attempt to deprive him of his liberty by us as above granted In Testimony, whereof I have hereunto Set My hand and Seal this Fifteenth Day of Feby.
